研究领域

长期从事表面化学与催化基础和应用研究,在催化选择氧化、界面和纳米催化以及甲烷催化活化等理论和实践中取得了系统、深入、具有创新意义的成果:首次发现了次表层氧对银催化氧化的增强效应,揭示出次表层结构调变表面催化的规律;发现了碳-氢键选择活化新过程,实现了甲烷芳构化理论和技术的新突破。近年来,包信和研究员带领的研究团队研制和开发了多种原位、动态催化研究方法,如原位高压NMR、动态光发射电子显微镜PEEM等,发现并从理论上证实了碳纳米管的限域效应,提出了纳米催化体系的“协同束缚”概念,成功研制出CO脱除和合成气高效转化催化剂。其取得的理论和实验成果在国际、国内相关领域形成了重要影响。
