长期从事云-气溶胶-辐射-臭氧垂直特征及其相互作用研究,多次使用自主研发设备在珠峰大本营等高原地区开展大气科学实验,主要研究成果包括:开展长航时高空气球飞行大气原位测量,突破青藏高原多大气要素昼夜变化的高空原位探测技术;长航时飞行实测揭示对流层顶污染精细结构;首次实测青藏高原地面至下平流层区域辐射昼夜廓线;基于自主研发臭氧探空仪发现大气臭氧污染新特征;持续发展基于常规气象探空技术的云垂直特征研究。

在PNAS、ERL、ACP、JGR、AR等国际主流期刊发表论文80余篇(SCI论文60余篇,其中第一作者SCI论文20余篇第一完成人专利授权10余项;第一完成人软件著作权登记6项。先后主持多项国家自然科学基金项目、工信部自然灾害专项课题、中科院战略性先导专项A类子课题等。
