Professor, Received Bachelor Degree at the Department of Chemistry in China Agricultural University in Beijing China. Received Ph.D. at the Department of Plant Cellular and Molecular Biology in The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio in USA. Qiao Zhao got his postdoc training at Noble Foundation in Oklahoma USA from 2008-2013. Started independent career at Tsinghua University in Beijing in 2014 as Assistant Professor. Relocated to Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology in Shenzhen in 2019 and promoted to Professor there. He is focusing on plant secondary metabolism.

Rebuild plant metabolites biosynthesis pathways in plant-based systems.
