Research Interests
Zhao's work focus on the three-dimensional real-time observation of marine environment based on in-situ observation data. The related research content has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(Youth Program and General Program), the Youth Innovation Promotion Association project and the Post-doctoral Science Foundation. He led the development of wave propelled virtual mooring buoys, participated in the development of Marine robots such as "Sea Wing" underwater glider, "Seagull" wind propelled unmanned sailboat, high-speed AUV based on the principle of lift. All vehicles have successfully carried out sea tests and completed the validation of functional parameter. He has published 21 papers (including 16 SCI/EI papers), applied for 16 patents, and published 1 book. During the work, he got the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the third prize of the May 4th Youth Scientific Research.
