Research Interests

My study aims to resolve a series of key biological and geological events, particulary the snowball Earth event, that occurred in the Late Precambrian Cryogenian-Ediacaran period, and ascertain their inherent causal relationships by means of an integrated geological and geochemical methods. My research interests also involve the understanding of Neoproterozoic magmatism and metallogeny in South China and Meso- and Cenozoic magmatism and metallogeny in Tibet using geochemical and geochronological solutions. My research is extended to understand the origin and evolution of prokayotes and multicellular life in the early Earth.
