# Experimental geochemistry: (1) hydrolysis behavior and stability of ore-forming metal complex in the HTHP fluids; (2) geochemical process on the serpentinization of the mantle minerals/rocks; (3) elemental thermal migration and isotope fractionation under a large temperature gradient; (4) mineral solubility and element partitioning between fluids and minerals. 

# Element and isotope geochemistry: (1) studies on the compositional differentiation and ore-forming metal enrichment within an alkaline/highly-fractionated pluton; (2) elemental mobilities during the HP/ultra-HP metamorphism .

Established a new hydrothermal lab through development and reformation of hydrothermal equipments, including more than 20 vessels of Morey-type, Tuttle-type, swing-type and quick-quench, combining with purchases on a Quickpress piston-cylinder and a V-type HDAC; Established a new chemical pretreatment and analysis lab, including double-beam UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, pH meter, Zeiss polarizing microscope, stereomicroscope, electron digital microscope, argon welder, autamatic agate grinding machine, draught cupboard, centrifuge, ultrasonic cleaner, Muffle furnace, vacuum drying oven, etc.; Calibrated the temperature and pressure of the HTHP apparatuses and determined the thermal gradient on the piston-cylinder and cold-seal vesseles; Presently developing a hydrothermal flow-through equipment to simulate the water-rock reaction.
