Research Areas
Research Field: Ultrafast optics, attosecond physics, and the mechanism of high-order harmonic generation (HHG) in condensed matter systems.
The main research focuses on the generation mechanism of HHG in crystals, liquids and quasicrystals driven by strong-field ultrafast lasers. The influence of the interaction between electrons on the yield of high-order harmonics in crystals was studied. The band theory for studying the harmonic radiation of crystals was extended to one-dimensional quasicrystals, and an all-optical method for detecting the topological edge states of quasicrystals using HHG was proposed. The important role of HHG in identifying the local isomorphic classes of quasicrystals was revealed.
