Laboratory of Computational Imaging Systems
Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Welcome to the Laboratory of Computational Imaging Systems
Research Interests: Developing state-of-the-art computational imaging techniques and systems for transient events diagnosis under extreme conditions in engineering, physics, and biomedicine.
Biography: Dr. Jingdan Liu is a Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM), Chinese Academy of Sciences. She leads the Laboratory of Computational Imaging Systems. Her research interests cover ultrafast imaging, light field imaging, computational imaging and laser plasma diagnosis. She has published >20 papers, including Nature Communications and Optica. She has applied for 2 U.S. patents on ultrafast optical imaging and light field imaging technologies. She is a Member of Optica and SPIE and serves as a Young Editor of Ultrafast Science. She received the 2024 Overseas Excellent Youth Science Foundation from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and the 2021 Relève Étoile Louis-Berlinguet award from Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature and Technologies (FRQNT) Canada. Her research works were awarded Optica’s Year in Optics in 2021 and 2024, respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology in 2017. From 2018 to 2023, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Applied Computational Imaging (LACI) at Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Canada.
Recruiting: Our group is always open to students (undergraduate internship, Ph.D.) and postdoc positions.
Please email your resume to Prof. Jingdan Liu if you are interested in joining us. Selected candidates will be contacted by email to arrange an interview.
