Research Areas

The structure of natural minerals, the surface and interface effects and its resource and environmental effects.

The main focus is on: (1) Mechanism of typical mineral interfacial interactions in geological processes, such as the mechanism of mineral micro-structure and solid acidity change on hydrocarbon generation and hydrocarbon storage in illite-metamorphite-montmorillonite transformation. (2) The structure , properties, interfacial reaction and their controlling methods and mechanisms of porous minerals (such as halloysite, diatomite, palygorskite, feldspar, imogolite etc.). (3) Development of mineral material evaluation methods, mineral purification and the performance of optimization methods and mineral functional materials (such as for pollutants adsorption) for the utilization of nano-micron mineral resources in China.

The research team has a good working atmosphere, research conditions and a wide range of scientific research cooperation between domestic and international . It offers a wealth of possibilities for academic studies and post-doctoral studies. Welcome students who interested in the above research direction to join!
