Dr. Qiang Sheng's research lies in fake news/misinformation detection and AI-generated content safety, recently with special focus on AI-generated misinformation detection, AI information pollution detection and analysis, and AI-generated content detection/attribution. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers on top-tier journals and conferences, including NeurIPS, ACL, AAAI, and TKDE. His publications have been cited more than 2500 times according to Google Scholar, and several of them are included in the TOP100 list of corresponding journals/conferences in the past five years (data in August 2025).
